TSC Initiates Assessment to Determine Qualifications of Primary School Teachers for JSS Deployment.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has launched a thorough assessment to ascertain the number of primary school teachers currently holding Bachelor’s and Diploma degrees. This initiative, led by Dr. Mugwuku Nthamburi, Director of Teacher Professional Management, aims to collect detailed data categorized by county, focusing on various qualification levels.
Outlined in memo TSC/DTPM/CDS/40/VOL.II/115 dated July 4, 2024, this assessment requires regional and county directors to submit the necessary data by July 11, 2024. Therefore, the data will be organized into groups based on academic qualifications, with specific attention to grades achieved in teaching subjects at the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) level.
The Directorate of Teacher Professional Management oversees this assessment to ensure comprehensive data collection across counties and specific qualification criteria.
