TSC Commission CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia commended Ismail for his six years of dedicated service, highlighting his distinction as a teacher and school manager. Notably, for leaving a lasting impact on the education sector, Ismail received recognition as an exceptional ICT champion in Garissa County.
Dr. Macharia stated on Tuesday, November 21, “Ahmed will be remembered for his world-class teaching and school management services during his six-year employment with the Teachers Service Commission.” She concluded with sincere sympathy, urging the community to accept their deepest condolences.

This tragic incident in Garissa marks the third aviation mishap in less than 24 hours in the North Eastern region. On the preceding day, two helicopters crashed in Wajir County, resulting in injuries to three individuals and claiming the lives of 10 others, including six Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers and four American contractors.
The heightened reliance on helicopters due to ongoing heavy rains, rendering various parts of the country inaccessible, has underscored the challenges in delivering essential supplies and examination materials. The education community mourns the loss of Ahmed Nur Ismail, reflecting on his impactful contributions to education and the broader community.
