Central Region: TSC Begins Replacement of Retiring School Head Teachers
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has started replacing retiring primary and secondary school head teachers in the Central region. By June 30, 2024, several heads across Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang’a, and Kirinyaga counties retired, prompting the commission to appoint new leaders.
New Appointments in Murang’a County
In Murang’a County, the TSC has appointed new principals for several key institutions. Margaret Mutaga, previously at Ng’araria Girls High School, will now lead Ruchu Girls High School in Kandara, taking over from Esther Kariuki. Additionally, Peter Gitu, who served at Delmonte Secondary School, will now head Koimbi Boys High in Kiharu, succeeding Peter Muchina, who retired on June 30. Furthermore, F M Gakuo will take charge of Weithaga Boys High School.
The TSC has already notified the newly appointed principals, instructing them to collect their deployment letters from county offices. Several other affected school heads have confirmed receiving alerts about their new assignments from the commission.
