Unregistered Class 8 Students Eligible for KCPE, Affirms Machogu.
The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Ezekiel Machogu, affirms that all students, including those who failed to register, will sit for the KCPE examinations this year. This comes after the CS directed all students to report to their respective schools today as the KCPE exams begin.
In a circular distributed to newsrooms, CS Ezekiel Machogu indicated that because some examination centers failed to register all students, the ministry plans to have all students report to their various schools to partake in the KCPE examination.
While this is the last KCPE under the 8-4-4 system, the CS indicates that they do not want to disadvantage any students by excluding them from the examinations because they failed to register. Therefore, he advised that all learners report to their respective institutions solely to sit for KCPE examinations on the set dates.
According to the CS, the Ministry of Education is determining why some students failed to register for the examination and will take action against any hindrances that block student registration for the national examinations.
