In the recently concluded KCPE examination, Moi Educational Centre has demonstrated exceptional academic performance, positioning itself among the top-performing schools. The highest scorer, Jeremy Rotich, secured an impressive 424 marks, setting a remarkable standard for the school.
Rotich’s outstanding achievement reflects the dedication and collaborative efforts of students, parents, and teachers. He expressed gratitude for the support from his family and teachers, emphasizing the realization of his aspiration to become a climate change expert. Notably, Janice Chepkoech secured the second position in the school with an impressive score of 421 marks. The top five performers also include Mitambo Aiden Karani (419 marks), Mulinge Judith (413 marks), and Ronoh Lorraine (413 marks).
Other notable high scorers at Moi Educational Centre include Nyarango Natania Kerubo (411 marks), Bhirange Nicaise (409 marks), and Mogire Kencarlos Ngari (409 marks). Additionally, Kiptoo Daniella Jebet, Tanui Griffin Kiprop, Bor Elsie Chepchumba, and Kamau Raynold Kuria each achieved a commendable score of 407 marks.

Langat, the second-highest scorer in the school, expressed a passion for becoming a lawyer to defend people’s rights and uphold justice. The results underscore the students’ determination, evident in the 23 candidates scoring 400 marks and above, with an additional 95 achieving scores between 375 and 399 marks.
Further analysis of the school’s performance reveals that 54 candidates scored between 350 and 374 marks, while 38 candidates secured marks ranging from 300 to 349. Notably, only nine candidates scored below 300 marks, showcasing the overall excellence of Moi Educational Centre.
Principal Augustine Musyoka attributed the school’s success to the collaborative efforts of teachers, students, and parents. Despite challenges like heavy rains, the school’s thorough preparation of candidates contributed to the pleasing results.
In conclusion, in Kajiado, private schools outperformed public institutions, with Kitengela town showcasing exemplary performance. Three public schools in the area performed poorly, while Orchard School, Lakewood Schools, Milimani Academy, and Acacia Schools produced top candidates with 420 marks.
