KSSSA National Championship Updates.
The Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Ball Games started on Sunday, August 4, at Kisii School. Both boys’ and girls’ soccer teams delivered high-energy performances, setting the stage for an exciting tournament.
Day One Highlights
Highway Secondary School began their campaign with a narrow victory, scoring a crucial goal against St. Joseph’s Boys Kitale. Dr. Aggrey High School also emerged triumphant, defeating Machakos High School 1-0 in a closely contested match.
Musingu High School secured a vital win, edging out Machakos High with a single goal. In a thrilling encounter, Koderobara Secondary School and Kirangari High School ended their match in a high-energy 2-2 draw.

In the girls’ matches, Butere Girls High School achieved a hard-fought win with a decisive goal against Kibauni Secondary. Nyakach Girls High School showcased their prowess with a dominant 3-0 victory.
St. Joseph’s Girls and Kombani Secondary played to a competitive 1-1 draw, each earning a point. Dagoretti High School clinched a tightly contested 1-0 victory against Alara Girls.
Day Two Highlights
The second day continued the excitement. Highway Secondary faced off against Dr. Aggrey High, ending in a draw with both teams showing strong defensive and offensive skills.
St. Joseph’s Boys delivered a dominant performance, scoring six goals and conceding none against Takaba Boys. Koderobara Secondary and Machakos High played to a goalless draw, marked by strong defensive plays. Musingu continued their strong form, narrowly defeating Kirangari 2-1.

In the girls’ matches, Nyakach Girls maintained their winning streak with a solid 1-0 victory over Butere Girls. Kinale secured their first win of the tournament with a 1-0 result against Kibauni.
St. Joseph’s Girls displayed an impressive performance, winning 4-1 against Alara Girls. Kombani Secondary edged out Dagoretti with a narrow 1-0 win, adding three points to their tally.
