Kithure Kindiki to Be Sworn in as Deputy President on Friday at KICC
Prof. Kithure Kindiki will officially assume his role as the new Deputy President on November 1, 2024. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.
In preparation for this significant event, Felix Koskei, the Head of Public Service, has released the names of the members who will serve on the Assumption to Office of the Deputy President committee. This committee is responsible for organizing Prof. Kindiki’s swearing-in ceremony. Following the High Court’s decision to lift the orders that previously blocked Kindiki’s appointment, Koskei noted in a gazette notice that the committee’s primary role is to “facilitate the assumption to Office of the Deputy President-designate.”
