International Schools and New Education Reforms.
International Schools in Kenya have begun to comply with the new educational reforms to access funding.
Many school administrators indicate that they will allow their students to access government funding for scholarships and loans per the new funding model.
According to Lukenya British Curriculum School principal Stephen Derwent, on previous occasions, most learners from international schools could join private institutions of higher learning.
He indicates that international schools are prepared to adopt the latest developments in education by embracing the new education system and aligning their teachers with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
In addition, he argues that as a result, their learners will now have the opportunity to access government funding under the new funding model.

He further indicates that international schools provide learners with the best resources to create a suitable learning environment.
According to Partington, all international schools must align with the country’s new system of education by introducing the sixth form.
“The British Curriculum Advance Level is a legal requirement for IGCSE graduates who must have another qualification between IGCSE and university,” he added.
This academic level is highly intensive and engaging for teachers. However, it provides learners with an opportunity to enjoy learning.

In addition, it is a respectable international qualification that allows learners to join local and international universities.
By introducing the new level, students at Lukenya International School will put on a separate set of uniforms to distinguish them from students at other levels of learning. However, the institution is presenting learners with an opportunity to provide their input at every level of learning on various issues, including the direction of learning.
Teachers from the institution indicate that their key responsibility is to prepare learners to transition from one level to another seamlessly and ensure they do not face many challenges in the job market.
