CS Machogu’s Clarion Call on Tapping Children Potential.
Education CS Ezekiel Machogu has made a clarion call to all educational stakeholders to monitor the development and growth of children immediately they join school to facilitate the realization of their full potential.
According to the CS, the move will encourage the development of communication, critical thinking skills, imagination, creativity, self efficacy, and digital literacy.
Machogu highlighted that there is a lot of untapped potential among children and that all educational stakeholders should focus on nurturing this potential at an early age.
Further, he notes that children are not born failures but rather the adults have failed in tapping the potential of every child.
The CS raised this concerns while addressing stakeholders and partners during the 2023 Teach for All Global Conference in Nairobi.
The key focus of the conference is on bringing together the various stakeholders in education with the intention of mobilizing future leaders in strengthening the education sector. Key partners and participants in the conference are working to strengthen the alliance to increase the opportunities for children in realizing their full potential.
Additionally, the conference brings together over 600 participants with similar goals and objectives in education from 62 countries.
It highlights the efforts of collective responsibility in the expansion of educational opportunities for children globally.
Teach for All, a non governmental organization whose focus is on training young people in leadership, takes the credit for organizing the summit.
According to Teach for Kenya Chief Executive Officer, Yukabeth Kidenda, all educational stakeholders must ensure that they provide equal opportunities for all students to thrive.

She went further to add that the common goal for all stakeholders in the summit is not only to educate but also to develop leaders. Kidenda argues that given the opportunity, every child has the ability to lead.
The three day long conference will see stakeholders share experiences and knowledge concerning emerging trends in the field of education.
According to CS Machogu, all educational stakeholders must create ways to prevent the interruption of learning during emergencies.
Finally, Teach for All co founder and and CEO Wendy Kopp believes the conference will impact the lives of all children in underprivileged areas.
