Recent chaos at the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) national ball games in Kisii has left several students and fans injured. The disturbances occurred during a match between Koderobara and Musingu High, held at Gusii Stadium. The violence broke out when Musingu High was leading 1-0, and spectators began throwing stones onto the field. This situation forced officials to halt the game indefinitely.
As tensions escalated, the Kisii County Police Commander, Charles Kases, addressed the situation, condemning the disruption. In addition, Kases emphasized that such interference undermines the purpose of the games, which is to showcase and nurture young talents. He expressed strong disapproval of the violent behavior exhibited by the spectators.

In response to the incident, Kases announced stringent measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future. “I have instructed my officers on the ground to act decisively against anyone disrupting the matches,” he stated. He stressed that the authorities will not tolerate such behavior and that those found guilty will face severe consequences.
